'MyMopar' wiring schematics for 71'sto 74 + shop manual wiring schematics + Third party wiring schematics all have different switches, none are the one I have installed, but switch matches the factory plug. This car has a few wrong year items (71 seats switched at Rag top vendor, and 71 fender extensions, etc.) My guess it was the last year of the Demon and they wanted to get rid of excess inventory. / What I have: 72 Dodge Demon (Sept 71 build date) Wiper switch is 2 speed (off+low+hi), number 349. All other electrical items I have encountered on this Resto were Ground related but this one has me stumped. Where does the resistor come into play? My apologies if I'm not speaking in electrical terms. ground to /DkBlue/ or /DBkGreen/ or /Brown/ at motor. How can I check motor by bypassing switch, I don't want to fry anything? Can I jump: Red hot in. ![]() Is it: protected Pink in, switched hot red out to motor, Dk Green or Dk Blue grounds for variable speed? When switch is on, it looks like Brown becomes hot, all other grounds in car are brown so I'm confused why it would have a brown coming out hot unless switch is shorted. > Switch: 5 wires, Hot input = pink, out = Red, Dk Blue, DkGreen, Brown. I'm not a electrician but have engineering background. Maybe storage for 4 years was the last straw for switch or motor so I wanted to test both. New wiper wiring harness but I Verified same colors/plug connection locations. wipers were working 4 year restoration on an unrestored 38k mile car w/ the orig dash wiring harness, verified un molested plug, assuming switch and wiring are original.
